  3. Qi-certified Wireless Charging Pad
  4. Status Light (Red when plugged in, Blue when charging wirelessly)
  5. 2 x USB Charging Ports

This wireless charger is Qi-certified and is compatible with Qi-enabled rechargeable devices such as smartphones.

WHAT IS QI?

Qi (pronounced ‘chee’) is a widely-used wireless charging standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium. Qi-certified devices ensure a safe, reliable wireless charging experience. It is already being incorporated into products from major smartphone companies, as well as wireless chargers in public charging stations, desktop chargers (such as your new AE-AUWC2S2U) and in-car charging.

From the WPC website:
Products using the Qi standard must be tested rigorously to help ensure safety, interoperability and energy efficiency. Only products that have passed these independent laboratory tests can use the Qi logo and are considered “Qi Certified.”
Be cautious of claims of “Qi compliant,” “Qi compatible” or “Works with Qi,” as these may indicate a product has not undergone Qi certification testing.

    • Make sure the device you want to charge is capable of being charged wirelessly.
    • Make sure the device is centred on the wireless charger’s soft rubbery ring.
    • If you mount your phone magnetically, ensure the metal plate behind your phone is positioned away from the wireless charging coils.
    • Make sure that your phone case does not contain magnets.
    • If the network signal is weak in your area, your device will be constantly searching for a stronger signal. This consumes battery power and could slow down the charging process.
  2. USB charging is slow
The total output available from the USB ports is 3.5A. Charging speed may be affected if you have connected devices that are capable of drawing more than that.
